Two documentary films that could change America: “Friendly Fire” and “Loose
Change – Final Cut”
By Robert Brennan
I could write about the ludicrous summer blockbuster,
“Snakes on a Plane,” but let’s look instead at two independent documentary
films that examine the snakes in the grass on the White House lawn, and those
in the radioactive sands of Iraq and Kuwait. Both hard-hitting films aim to
expose the people operating at the highest levels of our government for their
war crimes against Americans and
Iraq.
“Loose Change” and “Friendly Fire” can’t be found in your
local theaters or DVD stores. But with a click of your mouse, free of
charge, you can watch “Loose Change,” a riveting analysis of what the U.S.
government and our media won’t say about Sept. 11, 2001. That is, “Loose
Change” tells us that Osama didn’t do it, but rather our own Uncle Sam did. The
filmmakers don’t deny that there’s a lot of fundamentalist Islamic rage
directed at the U.S., but they say the men we’ve been told perpetrated the events of 9/11 “are dupes.”
“Friendly Fire—Exposing Gulf War Syndrome,” is not yet
available to the general public. It has only been screened at film festivals
(Cannes, France; Sonoma Co., CA; Bergen, Norway) and at its debut screening
earlier this year in Chelsea.
The expose reveals how since “Operation Desert Storm” in
1990, the Department of Defense (DOD) has given soldiers at war and at home
toxic experimental vaccines, and left our troops unprotected from biological
weapons. The illegal radioactive weaponry has been, and is still, sickening and/or killing hundreds of thousands
of Gulf War troops, and others in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.
“Loose Change”—The Unmasking of 9/11
In explaining the meaning behind the title of the film,
writer and director Dylan Avery says, “The change is loose upon the nation. You
couldn’t stop it if you tried.”
Jason Bermas, the production assistant of “Loose Change”
says he hopes the film will change America. “I’m not gonna be satisfied
until I sit in the front row of these guys’ Nuremburg Trials…The men who
actually did this (9/11) need to be prosecuted for war crimes…but we need to do
this peacefully…We need to take (notes) from the Civil Rights Movement, from
Gandhi…’cause that’s the only way we’re gonna get our country back,” he says.
The filmmakers encourage the public to engage in their own
investigation of the “mountains” of evidence that run counter to the official
story. “Loose Change” tells us:
*
Mayor
Giuliani closed Ground Zero to FEMA inspection, and debris was shipped overseas
for recycling; Avery says they effectively closed the crime scene, destroying
any evidence of the demolition bombs survivors and journalists say collapsed
the towers.
* According
to a BBC report on Sept. 23, 2001, at least nine of the 19 allegedly Arabic
suicide-hijackers are still alive.
*
Copious
evidence exists that cell phone calls from flight attendants and passengers
aboard the planes were fabricated. Cellular calls from planes at cruising
altitude were not possible before 2004, the year American Airlines installed
cell stations on their planes.
*
The
hole left where FL #93 allegedly crashed in Shanksville, PA was a small ditch
only about 20 feet long and 10 feet wide. Fox News reported seeing no smoke or
fire in the vicinity; The local coroner reports no bodies ever having been
recovered at the scene; WCPO-TV News, Cincinnati, reported on the morning of
9/11 that United Airlines verified that FL #93 landed safely at Cleveland
International Airport; the passengers were evacuated and never heard from
again.
Avery says the government likely perpetrated the events of
9/11 so inside traders on Wall Street could collect billions of dollars, with
evidence of their scamming destroyed at Ground Zero. The attacks also gave the
Bush administration an excuse to attack Iraq and Afghanistan in the name of the
“war on terror,” and subsequently compromise American civil liberties with
legislation like the Patriot Act.
Avery and friends are seeking a distributor to fund a nationwide cinematic release of the
film’s third edition “Loose Change—Final Cut,” which Bermas says includes edits
intended to satisfy their many critics’ complaints about the second edition,
with revised narration that challenges the viewer to decide for him or herself
what the truth is about 9/11. Bermas says that if “Loose Change—Final Cut”
makes it to the big screen, “there’s no reason this can’t be the biggest
documentary ever!”
Since 2005, Avery, Bermas, and the producer, Korey Rowe,
have screened “Loose Change” countless times across the nation in colleges and
community centers from Princeton to mosques. They’ve sold about 100,000 copies
of the film on DVD (which has allowed them to quit their day jobs), and they
estimate that 100 million viewers have watched the film for free online
worldwide
The filmmakers told us they planned to visit Ground Zero
on Sept. 11, 2006, where they would stand peacefully and in respect for the
dead with a thousand or more other 9/11 Truth activists wearing T-shirts that
read “Investigate 9/11,” and that they would also distribute thousands of free
DVDs of the documentary’s final cut.
On Sept. 11, 2001, 343 firefighters, New York’s Bravest,
died in the collapse of steel twin towers that their expertise told them fire
could not bring down. If you’re brave enough to watch this jarring film, you
may be moved to demand that your elected representatives start an independent
investigation into the events of 9/11. Avery advises us at the close of the
film to “Ask questions, demand answers.”
“Friendly Fire—Exposing Gulf War Syndrome”
According to this documentary, deaths and illnesses that
result from what the U.S. Department of Defense calls “Gulf War Syndrome” are
actually caused largely by radioactive “depleted” uranium (D.U.) warheads and
bullets the U.S. used and/or is using (against international law) in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the
former Yugoslavia. The uranium-laced weaponry slices through tanks and
armor like a hot knife through butter. But the carcinogenic, toxic dust and gas
D.U. emits on impact poisons the blood and bones of everyone in the area, even
many miles downwind. Children, babies, and fetuses are especially vulnerable.
Developed by U.S. scientists during the top secret Manhattan Project of 1945,
the Pentagon insists D.U. is totally safe.
“Friendly Fire” features candid interviews with Gulf War
veterans and members of Congress unafraid to say that the government is lying about D.U. U.S. Congressman
Christopher Shays (CT) says of the CIA, Department of Defense, and the
Veteran’s Administration, “This may sound a bit harsh, but some heads need to
roll; because I really believe that all three…have participated in a cover-up.”
Dennis Kyne, a Gulf War vet and noted peace activist, told
me he saw devastation and melted bodies in the wake of D.U. in Iraq. The reason
he’s not sicker than he is today is because, as an Army medic, he decided not
to receive experimental toxic vaccines that were forced upon the troops. Kyne
calls D.U. a “nuclear weapon.”
“Friendly Fire’s” producer, writer, and director, Dr. Gary
Null, narrates and conducts striking interviews with angry, hurt, disillusioned
and sick Gulf War troops whose bodies and minds have been greatly damaged by
D.U. Vets and activists tell of mandatory experimental toxic injections of
botulism, anthrax, and a bacteria that were given to troops, supposedly to
protect them from chemical weapons. Little did the troops know that, like D.U.,
these injections would only make them and their families sick, and cause many
of them to have deformed babies. Other facts from “Friendly Fire” are:
*
Radioactive
American D.U. weaponry has caused an epidemic of cancers such as leukemia and
lymphoma that kill about 150 Iraqi children a day. Over half of returning Gulf
War Veterans are sick from “Gulf War Syndrome,” including hundreds of thousands
from “Gulf War I” and at least 150,000 from the present war.
* The
Department of Defense insists to this day that “Gulf War Syndrome” is caused by
“stress,” absolving themselves from responsibility for compensating or helping
troops returning from the Gulf.
*
The
DOD has engaged in covert operations to confuse scientists about what is making
Gulf War vets sick, and to delude them into blaming all symptoms on
post-traumatic stress disorder. Gulf War vets have been banned from donating
blood.
Not unlike when the U.S. military sprayed the highly toxic
Dow Chemical herbicide “Agent Orange” on U.S. soldiers and the Vietnamese back
in the ’60s, “Friendly Fire” reveals that soldiers were unwittingly poisoned
with D.U. by their superior officers, and treated as guinea pigs when
“vaccinated.”
Southern Iraq, and parts of Afghanistan and the former Yugoslavia have been rendered toxically
radioactive for the next 4.5 billion years because of American uranium
weaponry. What’s more, in early August 2006, the Israeli government purchased
bunker-busting bombs that contain D.U. for use in their war with Lebanon. This
marks the second time Israel has purchased D.U. weaponry from the U.S. The
first time they used the secretly nuclear weapon was in 1973 during the
Israeli-Arab War.
Together, “Loose Change” and “Friendly Fire” indict the
U.S. government for callously disregarding its own citizens, and for war crimes
against humanity.
The producers of both films seek distributors powerful and
brave enough to put these bold visions of truth up on the big screen. Perhaps
if these films get their day in the sun, then the people will be moved to work
together in peace to put an end to the bogus “war on terror.”
